We believe that it is our responsibility to give back. Which is why community initiatives are important to us. As part of our community initiatives, we have the Interact and Eco Club formed by learners and educators from our school. They do various projects throughout the year. Our initiatives also include our involvement in the drive for Nelson Mandela Week and Arbor Week. Thus, raises awareness about the importance of these initiatives to learners and the community.
A big drive we run every year is in partnership with the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust www.hillaids.org.za. This assists a different school each year. Our learners also assist the centre by helping to revamp eight classrooms of primary schools in disadvantaged areas. This includes painting, fixing holes as well as cleaning up and more. Our learners also spend a few days teaching children in those newly revamped classrooms. The Subjects are, Mathematics, English, Music, Art and Drama as well as Science. This is experience is both enlightening and extremely rewarding.
